Connemara Terrier Society:
The Connemara Terrier Society (CTS) first began to take shape in 2002. By 2007, they were a committed and organized group with a clear purpose and plan: To preserve the Connemara Terrier as a breed in its highest form. And to Keep a true and correct record of the terriers bred into this line, in the form of a recording all terriers and maintaining a stud book.
To preserve and protect a special strain/line of Jack Russell Terrier whose origins date back to the late 1800’s Ireland. This terrier is proven, through DNA testing, to be genetically different from all other Jack Russell Terriers. Through health testing, a controlled breeding program and a private recording system, we will ensure the Connemara Jack Russell Terrier continues to survive.
By putting health and temperament first, we will continue to breed healthy, hardy, intelligent, loyal and trustworthy companion terriers with proven dispositions.
